Pepe Mel will continue to lead the UD Las Palmas

The UD Las Palmas has made official this Wednesday the renewal for one more season, until June 2021, of its coach, Pepe
Mel. Along with the coach will be Ángel López, as second coach, David Gómez, as physical trainer and José Esteban Yepes, as goalkeeping coach.

The renovation has been done official as soon as the objective set for this course has become a reality, which was none other than to ensure permanence in the second category of Spanish football.

The technical staff will not follow Robert
Rivers, who has used family reasons to leave the entity and return to Seville, as reported by the Canarian club.

The position of second
coach The team will be occupied by Ángel López, an old acquaintance of the yellow fans: he began his sports career in the yellow team, later he joined Celta de Vigo, Villareal and Betis –where he coincided with Pepe Mel-, before returning to UD Las Palmas and being part of the last promotion to the First Division.
