Real Oviedo assaults La Romareda and looks closer to the permanence

Real Oviedo, with its victory in La Romareda over Real Zaragoza, took a step forward in the fight for permanence, a victory that prevented the Aragonese team from recovering the second place they had at their disposal after Huesca stumbled in the field of the bottom, Racing de Santander.

The Carbayón team sees things more clearly in their fight for permanence, and more considering that Lugo tied on this day and that Numancia won and that if they had not done so the situation would have been very complicated.

The Asturian team took advantage of the bad moment of the team from the return of football after the break due to the coronavirus and took advantage of, especially, the weakness at home where they had lost the four games played (Alcorcón, Almería, Huesca and Rayo Vallecano) and that amount to five, something that had never happened in the history of the 'blanquillo' club, after also doing it with the team led by José Angel Ziganda.

In addition, incidentally, the Asturian team broke a devastating statistic in La Romareda since it had been winless since the 1990-91 season when it did with Javier Irureta on the bench (0-1), with both teams in the First.

The team of Víctor Fernández, with the defeat, lost a golden opportunity, perhaps the last train to have added the three points and climb to a second place that seems to burn all those who seek it due to the continuous failures between them.

The 'blanquillo' team did not take advantage of the defeat of Huesca in El Sardinero and follows two points from the Alto Aragonese who continue to depend on themselves in the absence of two days for the conclusion of the championship.

And what for some is a disaster for others is life since the three points for Real Oviedo allow him to see the future more clearly because he continues to depend on himself to seal the permanence.

Real Oviedo started better with two opportunities to get ahead, first a shot by Alejandro Arribas after a corner kick that hit the wood and went out and a shot by Ghanaian Samuel Obeng sent by Cristian Alvarez for a corner.

The Maño team also came through Nieto in the 12th minute, but a great visiting play with a cross from Luismi's right was taken advantage of by Obeng to put his team ahead in the 15th as a prize for his dominance and best game.

Although the owners of the field took the ball after the goal, they were unable to break the containment system of a well-planted Oviedo, which was excessively slow in handling the ball from the locals.

On the other hand, although the Principality team barely made it to the local area, when it did it always gave a feeling of danger and even more when it knew how to take advantage of something that has become commonplace, Zaragoza gifts.

An unnecessary foul by Carlos Vigaray when his pair was cornered next to the corner led to a great goal from Marco Sangalli in a volley shot in the 45th after a serve by Panamanian Yoel Bárcenas.

At the minute of returning to the pitch after the break, Oviedo could have definitively sentenced the contest with a penalty committed on Tejera that sent the crossbar Rodri.

Real Zaragoza shot with pride with everything lost and also spurred by the maximum penalty missed but it turned out to be a gaseous effect that lasted only a few minutes.

From there it became the postcoronavirus team again. No punch, physically and mentally tired and depressed, and that, at least, tried to put more speed and more centers to the area although not with enough precision to have obtained any advantage.

On the contrary, the Principality team, very calm on the scoreboard, barely gave their opponent options and, after a couple of unsuccessful good opportunities, came in third to end the game in 79 in a counterattack in which Yoel stole the ball Barcenas and finished it himself.

With everything decided, the exzaragocista Alfredo Ortuño closed the Carbayona win in the 90s with a great shot adjusted to the post on the half-turn and shortly after Miguel Linares, a former Oviedo put 1-4 to complete the scoreboard a penalty committed on Luis Suárez that transformed Shinji Kagawa at the last minute of the extension and that was useless to the landowners.
