Levante expresses its condolences on the death of Ramón Vilar

Levante UD and the Cent Ants Foundation have expressed their condolences for the death of the director of Levante UD and councilor for Finance of the Valencia City Council, Ramón Vilar, who died this Saturday of a heart attack.

The Valencian club and its foundation have issued a statement expressing their “deepest condolences” on the death of Villar, who was a member of the club's board of directors since 2009 and a patron of the Cent Anys Foundation from 2009 to 2017.

Vilar, 64, a graduate in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Valencia, was elected councilor of Valencia for the first time in 1983 and was a member of the local governments of Ricard Pérez Casado and Clementina Ródenas.

He entered the PSOE in the seventies and currently in the city of Valencia had the powers of Finance, Information and Defense of Citizenship and was a member of the board of directors of the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) and the Local Protection Board Civil.
