Fernando Sanz is already president of the LaLiga Foundation

The LaLiga Foundation, as reported by the employers, held its Ordinary General Meeting this Thursday in which the appointment of Fernando Sanz Durán as the new president of the entity was formalized.

The full statement is this:

“Fernando Sanz has a long professional career in LaLiga with more than 7 years of experience in the entity and currently holds the position of director of International Institutional Relations and the LaLiga Ambassadors and Legends project. He is also a former professional soccer player, with a total of 11 seasons played in LaLiga Santander with the shields of Real Madrid and Málaga Club de Fútbol.

During the celebration of this Ordinary General Meeting, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín and Patricia Rodríguez Barrios were also appointed as new vice presidents of the LaLiga Foundation. These incorporations took place during this meeting, in which the Action Plan for the 2020/2021 season was approved and which was attended electronically by the aforementioned, Javier Tebas Medrano, spokesperson as president of LaLiga; Pedro Tomás Marqués and José Luis Astiazarán Iriondo as vowels as former LaLiga presidents; José Guerra Álvarez, as member of the LaLiga corporate general manager; Julián Redondo, as representative of the Spanish Sports Press Association; José Juan Bonillo Medina and Inmaculada Ibáñez as elected members of the LaLiga Delegate Commission; and Francisco Rubio Garcés as a member chosen by the board of trustees.

During the meeting, the strategic lines of action for the 2020/2021 season were approved. In this way, the LaLiga Foundation will continue dedicating its efforts to the multiple projects that it has been developing in favor of the most vulnerable groups, with lines of action in the fields of childhood and youth, education and training, social inclusion and integration.
