Colate explains to Beatriz Cortázar the last judicial altercation with Paulina Rubio for her son’s custody

The legal battle between Paulina Rubio y Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera He has added a new episode after a judicial confrontation in the Miami court. The Mexican singer filed an express lawsuit against Corate after her ex pick her son Andrea Nicolás of the Medium College before the usual time. Paulina feared that the Spanish tried to take Spain to Spain without her consent, which led the judge to take immediate measures.

A new conflict in court

The incident occurred last Tuesday, March 11, coinciding with Collate 53 birthday. That day, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera’s brother went to his son’s school in the middle of the school and picked him up half an hour before the departure time. Minutes later, the school alerted the mother of the child, who, after consulting with her lawyer, filed a complaint, arguing a possible risk of kidnapping.

As a result, the judge ordered the withdrawal of the child’s passport, preventing it from leaving the United States. Meanwhile, Colate continues to wait for the court to resolve his request that his son can travel to Spain and live with him.

Colate’s version

The businessman, who has been in Miami for two weeks to spend time with his son during school holidays, has given his version of the facts in a conversation with Beatriz Cortázar. According to Corate, everything has been “the usual”: “I arrived and they were already waiting for me. Paulina had all the artillery prepared and as soon as I went to pick up my son, he filed the complaint. I want to make it clear that there was no police, I have the shared custody and I can pick up my son from the school. I did it a little before because it was my birthday and I wanted to surprise him,” he told our partner.

Colrate insists that his intention was simply sharing that special moment with his son and that, despite the complaint, the child is currently with him at home. However, he acknowledges that Paulina’s goal with this new legal action has been to prevent the slightest trip to Spain.

The desire of the child and the struggle for custody

This is not the first confrontation between the two for the custody of Andrea Nicolás, who has already expressed her desire to live with her father in Spain several times. In fact, a few months ago, the 14 -year -old teenager declared before a Spanish court his preference to reside in Pedraza, Segovia, along with his father. This statement led Colate to obtain temporary custody in Spain for a while.

However, Paulina achieved a court order in the United States that allowed him to recover custody and take his son back. Since then, according to Corate, shared custody has not been effectively exercised, since the child has remained in Miami under the care of his mother.

The antecedent last summer

Paulina’s fear that her son does not return to the United States has its origin in an episode that occurred last summer. During a visit to Spain, the child refused to return to Miami and the intervention of the Civil Guard was necessary at the airport to convince him to address the plane. As we advanced from informalia in his day, he was explained that if he did not go to the plane, his father could face legal consequences, which finally made him access to return with his mother.

This antecedent has been key in the new express demand presented by Paulina, who has used that episode as an argument to request the restriction of the child’s departure.

The future of the dispute

For now, Colate continues in Miami and has extended its stay one more than the two initially planned while waiting for the judicial resolution. His initial intention was for his son to travel with him to Spain during the holidays, something that finally cannot happen due to Paulina’s demand.

The conflict between the two is still open and everything indicates that the legal battle for the custody of Andrea Nicolás will continue in the courts. Meanwhile, Colate clings to his right to share time with his son and hope that in the future he can live with him in Spain.
