Vingegaard leaves the Paris-Niza

MADRID 14 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Dutch team Team Visma | Lease Bike announced Friday that the Danish cyclist Jonas Vingegaard, double winner of the Tour de France, will not take the departure this Friday from the sixth stage of the Paris-Nice after the fall suffered in the previous day that caused damage to his left hand.

After visibly bruised and sore the Côte-Saint-André leaving almost half a minute with the winner and giving the leadership, the Danish corridor along with the medical staff have decided “that the best thing for him is to recover from the fall at home and focus on his next goals for the season.”

The next thing in the Vingegaard calendar is the Volta to Catalunya, which is played from March 24 to 30, in its preparation for the Tour de France this summer where it will seek to put its name in the race for the third time after already doing so in 2022 and 2023.
