The Spanish women’s basketball team, according to the draw made this Saturday by FIBA Europe, will face Germany, Great Britain and Sweden in the group stage of the next Eurobasket, which will be played from June 18 to 29 between Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Greece.
The draw was held at the Cultural Center of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, in Athens (Greece). This Women’s Eurobasket will celebrate its 40th edition with a group stage in the cities of Brno (Czechia), Bologna (Italy), Hamburg (Germany) and Piraeus (Greece), which will also be the headquarters of the final phase in the fight for medals.
Spain was head of series at Bombo 1 along with France, Belgium and Serbia, and fell into the D Group with Germans, British and Swiss. Thus, the French will play in Group A against Türkiye, Greece and Switzerland; Serbies will be measured in B against Italy, Slovenia and Lithuania; And the Belgians will see the faces in the C with a Czech, Montenegro and Portugal.
