Female Barça and CB Santfeliuenc will not renew their collaboration agreement

BARCELONA, 25 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

FC Barcelona has noted that it will not renew the collaboration agreement that unites the women’s basketball team with the CB Santfeliuenc until June 30, an agreement that included that all female basketball teams receive the name of Barça CBS.

“The FC Barcelona and the CB Santfeliuenc will separate their paths at the end of the 2024/25 season, once the collaboration agreement that unites both parties expires,” explained the Blaugrana entity in a statement.

The current agreement between clubs included a link between the base teams and the first team, currently in the Challenge Women’s League, all of them competing under the name of Barça CBS.

In addition, FC Barcelona collaborated with an annual economic contribution to CB Santfeliuenc, beyond the supply of sports material, the transfer of facilities and access to the medical services of the club.

This will be the last year of the collaboration agreement between Barça and CB Sanfeliuenc that began in 2011. Since then, the first Blaugrana team has been consolidated in the women’s basketball elite, achieving the promotion to the Women’s League in 2022, category in the that remained until last season.
