Merrell to rename 2025 Skyrunning World Series

BARCELONA 20 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The American outdoor footwear brand Merrell has renewed its commitment as ‘title sponsor’ of this year’s Merrell SkyRunning World Series international circuit, as part of its positioning strategy in the world of trail running.

The 2025 Merrell SkyRunning World Series circuit will start on March 22 on the island of La Palma with the Acantilados del Norte race and will include 24 events spread across four continents.

In Spain, the circuit will have five events, Acantilados del Norte in La Palma on March 22; Calamorro SkyRace in Benalmádena, on April 5; the Gorbeia Suzien in Zinauri, on September 27; the Sobrescobio SkyRace, on October 26, and the Marató dels Dements, on November 8.

During the 2024 season, Merrell sponsored the track and implemented its activations so riders could test the brand’s latest innovations in real-world conditions.

In 12 races, more than 1,200 participants tested models such as the MTL Skyfire 2, MTL Long Sky 2 Matryx and the Agility Peak 5, while the Merrell team interacted with more than 2,000 trail runners.

NEW COLORS FOR 2025

In 2025, the new colors of the MTL Skyfire 2 and Long Sky 2 Matryx, along with the Agility Peak 5, will be available for testing in the circuit’s main races. Additionally, riders will be able to experience the new MTL Adapt model, which will officially launch on May 1.

The circuit will also be a key platform for Team Merrell athletes, who will seek to be protagonists this season. Among them, stands out Denisa Dragomir, who returned to the slopes in 2024 after her maternity leave, and Fred Tranchard, the brand’s recent signing, who is emerging as a contender for the podium in 2025.
