The Norwegian Royal House faces one of the biggest scandals in recent years. The son of the princess Mette-Maritthe result of a relationship prior to her marriage with the heir, was arrested last August for a crime of sexist violence. It was the first chapter of a story that is clouded with new and gruesome data (more accusations of violence, substance addiction, prison, detoxification centers…) that now taint the very Haakonsince they claim that the prince was aware of his stepson’s alleged crimes and did nothing to contain it.
The lawyer assures Julianne Snekkestadone of the ex-girlfriends of Marius Borg. The lawyer has revealed in the newspaper Aftenposten that his client’s mother notified the prince of Börg’s alleged violence against her daughter: “When the relationship between the two ended, her mother contacted King Harald’s son. She was frustrated by the situation and offered to give him documentation that proved the young man’s actions,” said Petter J. Grødem. According to Julianne’s defense, there are “messages and photographs” that demonstrate the mistreatment of Mette-Marit’s son towards the young woman and assures that they are already in the hands of the police who are in charge of the case.
He also adds that the victim’s family is very disappointed by the treatment received by the Royal Family, from whom they expected to receive protection in such a delicate situation: “It was painful for them not to receive a response. They considered that the lack of a response “It was disrespectful.”
Julianne, for her part, issued a statement ensuring that the inaction of Marius’ family, who has excused his terrible behavior due to substance addiction, was one of the reasons why she decided to take action on the matter, once she discovered that she had not been the only one to receive physical and mental abuse from Mette-Marit’s son: “It is important to understand what many are wondering: that this has happened before and it must be stopped now. There should not be more women exposed to this and I feel a responsibility to share my experiences. I don’t think people who put others through trauma like this know how it causes such painful changes in a person Even after years of professional help and support from my amazing family, my fiancé. and my friends, I will never be the same.”
It must be remembered that the Norwegian press leaked a few days ago the call in which Mette-Marit warned her son that the police were going to arrest him after destroying his girlfriend’s apartment in Oslo. Not only that: the princess moved into the house and cleaned it before accompanying her son to Jansløkka school, where he was arrested.
