MADRID, 23 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Spanish Radio Television (RTVE) has reached an agreement with UEFA to be able to broadcast the final of the men’s Champions League during the next three editions, up to and including the final of the 2026/27 campaign.
“The next three UEFA Champions League finals will be able to be seen freely on RTVE after the agreement reached with UEFA and after the presentation of the offer in the bidding process opened last August,” the public entity announced.
The first of the finals that RTVE will be able to broadcast after this agreement will be on May 31, 2025 at the Allianz Arena in Munich (Germany), a final that is expected to be seen by some 400 million people around the world.
The last ‘Champions’ final, won by Real Madrid against Borussia Dortmund on June 1, 2024, at Wembley Stadium (London), reached an average audience of 6,176,000 spectators, a 48.8 percent percent screen share and 10,399,000 viewers following the game at some point during the night.
The agreement contemplates the broadcast of the finals of the 2024-25, 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons and with it the alliances between the European Union of Football Associations and Spanish Radio Television are strengthened. The ‘Champions’ final could already be seen on RTVE in its 2022, 2023 and 2024 finals.
