Mbappé enters the call for the Intercontinental

MADRID, 16 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The French forward Kylian Mbappé entered this Monday in the Real Madrid squad prepared by Carlo Ancelotti for the dispute this Wednesday (6:00 p.m.) of the final of the Intercontinental Cup against the Mexican Pachuca, according to a statement from the Madrid club.

The presence of the French attacker, who was injured last Tuesday in the Champions League match against Atlanta in Bergamo, is the big news on the merengue list to compete in the Intercontinental final, the second title at stake of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti himself confirmed, in the press conference prior to the tie (3-3) between Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid, that he had a muscle injury and would travel to Qatar, where they will decide if he will be able to play a few minutes of the match for the trophy.

In addition, Ancelotti takes home-grown players Fran González, Youssef Enríquez Lekhedim ‘Yusi’, Raúl Asencio, Lorenzo Aguado, Gonzalo García and Víctor Muñoz. While the long-term injured Éder Militao and Dani Carvajal are not traveling, nor are Ferland Mendy, who is still recovering from a muscle problem, and David Alaba, in the final stretch of his recovery from his serious knee injury.

Thus, the call-up is integrated by goalkeepers Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin and Fran Gonzalez; defenders Lucas Vazquez, Jesus Vallejo, Fran Garcia, Antonio Rüdiger, Youssef Enriquez Lekhedim ‘Yusi’, Raul Asensio and Lorenzo Aguado; midfielders Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde, Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler and Dani Ceballos; and forwards Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo Goes, Endrick, Brahim Diaz, Gonzalo Garcia and Victor Munoz.
