Bàsquet Girona announced this Saturday the dismissal of Fotis Katsikaris as coach, shortly after the defeat (81-98) against Leyma Coruña on matchday 11 of the Endesa League.
“Thank you, Fotis. Bàsquet Girona announces the termination of the contract of first coach Fotis Katsikaris,” the Catalan club wrote on its official account on the ‘X’ social network.
The Greek coach, 57 years old, with extensive experience in the ACB, arrived in Girona last January, but the bad start to the current campaign did not allow him to complete a year in the Catalan team, bottom with two wins and nine losses .
