MADRID, Sep 21 (EUROPA PRESS) – Granada announced the dismissal of its coach Guillermo Abascal after the draw (2-2) against Malaga this Friday in the sixth round of LaLiga Hypermotion.
“Granada Club de Fútbol has terminated the contract that linked it with coach Guillermo Abascal. The Seville coach arrived at the red-and-white club last summer. This season he has officiated 6 matches in LaLiga Hypermotion,” the Granada team announced in an official statement.
At around one o’clock in the morning, Granada announced that they had decided to change course after just six games of the season, with one win, three draws and two defeats. At Nuevo Los Cármenes against Málaga, the home team had the victory in their grasp but let the three points slip away in stoppage time, when they conceded the 2-2 and also missed a penalty.
Abascal (Seville, 1989) arrived in Granada this summer after a career that had developed in Swiss and Italian football, his last job before arriving in Spain being at Spartak Moscow.
