“Half of Spain would hate to have me around because I set four alarms to wake up”

Victoria Arnau is in charge of replacing in summer Sandra Coup on Antena 3 Noticias 1, the news program with the highest share on television. The journalist, who works in Antena 3 Noticias 1 during the rest of the year, Public mirrorhas maintained the excellent audience figures of its partner. Now, it leaves its comfort zone to undergo the most casual test, the ELEVEN QUESTIONS IN THE MUD of Informalia which are only suitable for the bravest on television.

Where did you wake up this morning?

In my bed, in my house in Madrid. Of course, with my four obligatory alarms before getting up to get used to the idea that I have to get going. I know that half of Spain understands me on this issue and the other half would hate to have me around.

The last time you cried?

I am not one to hold back my tears. I cry out of sadness, but also out of joy. I think the last time I did so was a few days ago, when it had been three years since my father passed away.

The last lie you told?

A little further down in this questionnaire, in the question: “When is the last time you were naked in front of another person?”

Besides your house and your car, what is the most expensive thing you have ever bought?

I don’t have anything very valuable, to be honest. But overall, what I’ve invested most in my life has been filling my bookshelf with books.

Have you ever been caught dating a famous person? Would you like to be caught dating someone?

I’ve never been caught dating anyone famous, I don’t expose myself too much and most of the time I surround myself with my lifelong friends.

When was the last time you were naked in front of another person?

This morning, at the gym, which I go to religiously every day without exception.

What do you dislike most about yourself?

The amount of unanswered messages I have on my phone. I try to reduce the list by answering immediately. But there is no way and it just keeps growing.

The last text message you received and what did it say?

My brother sending me a picture from Sri Lanka, where he is on vacation, and telling me that he loves me. We are very much into saying “I love you” in my house.

The most embarrassing situation in your life?

This summer I spent 15 minutes talking on a plane with a person who said hello to me, and who I thought I knew. Until the friend who was with me let me know that he was a stranger. If that person is reading this, I want them to know that I’m not crazy.

If you were invisible, what would be the first thing you would do?

I’m not very nosy, so rather than being invisible, I would ask for another wish: teleportation. That way I could go to Alicante to eat some of my mother’s rice whenever I wanted.

Have you ever stolen?

The occasional pen in a hurry in the newsroom never returns to its provider. My colleagues should not hate me for this.
