While he continues to follow the political news, the leader of the Popular Party, who turns 63 in September, is recovering from an operation for retinal detachment. It was last Wednesday, July 31, when the Galician politician underwent surgery for this ailment.
A few hours later, his party announced this “minor medical intervention”, assuring that he remained “in contact with his team and fully operational”. After a few days of recovery, during this month of August he will combine rest and relaxation with his public agenda. During these days he has also been very attentive to the achievements of Spanish athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, publishing messages about it on social media.
