Queen Letizia, the emeritus, Leonor and Sofia’s surprise plan for Palma while Felipe VI is still in Paris

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia are enjoying one of their most unusual holidays due to the celebration of the Olympic Games in Paris, where the monarch has been back since Monday supporting Spanish athletes.

On Tuesday, August 6, the King attended several sporting events (including the quarter-final women’s water polo match between the Spanish and Canadian national teams, which ended in victory for the Spanish team); and held a meeting with the president of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, and the president of the Spanish Olympic Committee, Alejandro Blanco. His return to Spain is scheduled for this Thursday. In the last few days he will be relieved by his mother, Doña Sofía.who will attend the closing ceremony next Sunday 11th.

And meanwhile, we have been able to see Queen Letizia, Queen Sofia, the heir to the throne and her sister enjoying a surprise plan in Palma. After four o’clock on Tuesday afternoon they left Marivent to give a walk through the Plaza Mayor and its surroundings. They have been interested in the commercial activity in the area and they have entered the Nutrición Activa store, which is located at number 7 on Carrer de Velázquez.

For this walk, the Asturian consort has opted for a dress tie dye in pink and fuchsia, which she combined with a crochet bag. The wife of King Juan Carlos, for her part, chose a blue silk blouse, white trousers and a striped bag. The Princess of Asturias wore a strapless printed T-shirt and white trousers, while her sister opted for a black crop top and a long white skirt.

The plan of the queen, her mother-in-law and her daughters came after they enjoyed a dinner in Palma with Felipe VI on Sunday before returning to Paris. They were joined by Tatiana and Dr. Juan Fruchaud, friends of the emeritus.

It should be remembered that the Queen and her daughters were also at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games a few days earlier. Leonor and Sofia took over from their parents two weekends ago until Tuesday, July 30; while the Queen had a solo agenda right after until her return to Palma this past weekend.
