‘Eurochampions’ Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Ferran Torres pass medical tests with Barça

Neither of them will go to the end of the tour in the United States and will start their preseason in Barcelona

Pere Romeu, new coach of Barça Women, recovers 6 players

BARCELONA, 5 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Monday was the day of the return to activity for the first men’s and women’s football teams, with the ‘Euro champions’ Pedri, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal undergoing their pre-season medical check-ups and, in the Barça Femení, the new coach Pere Romeu incorporates up to six players who are returning from their holidays.

The Spanish Euro 2024 champions once again donned their Blaugrana training kit after a well-deserved three-week vacation to undergo the mandatory medical and physical examinations at the club’s medical services facilities.

Pedri, injured at the Euros, Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres are the last international Barça players who played in the Euros who were yet to join the pre-season, not counting Olympians Fermín, Cubarsí and Eric García, still in contention for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Hansi Flick will soon have these players back, although he will not be able to have them under his command yet as they will not be travelling on the tour of the United States due to the impossibility of arriving in time for the final friendly match, which will take place in the early hours of Tuesday 6 August and Wednesday 7 August against AC Milan.

SIX REINFORCEMENTS FOR BARÇA WOMEN

At Barça Femení, internationals Caroline Graham, Fridolina Rolfö, Keira Walsh, Ingrid Engen, Jana Fernández and Esmee Brugts completed their medical and physical tests this Monday prior to their return to training.

All of them, who played matches with their national teams during the month of July, will meet up again this Monday afternoon with their teammates who joined on 1 August. Thus, from the first team, Pere Romeu will have Roebuck, Gemma, María Léon, Marta, Pina, Bruna, Pajor and Kika, in addition to the new additions.

The European champions are continuing their demanding pre-season sessions these days and will play their first friendly match of the 2023/24 season this week, on Saturday 10th, with their visit to Hoffenheim.
