Bayern plan to loan out Bryan Zaragoza to “give him playing time”

SEOUL (SOUTH KOREA), Aug. 4 (dpa/EP) –

Spanish striker Bryan Zaragoza will leave Bayern Munich, a club he joined in the last winter transfer market, to find playing time on loan, given the enormous competition that exists in the Bavarian team’s attack.

“Bryan is a player we are considering giving some playing time to. We are now looking at finding a suitable loan,” said Bayern sporting director Max Eberl of the 22-year-old on the final day of Bayern’s pre-season training camp in South Korea.

The striker arrived in February from Granada and the total transfer and loan package cost Bayern around 17 million euros. However, Zaragoza only played seven Bundesliga games under Thomas Tuchel. And this year it will be even more difficult, due to the arrival of French winger Michael Olise, from Crystal Palace.

“Bryan might have a bit of a tough time there,” said Eberl, who added that the player himself sees it that way. “He came to us. We like the idea of him getting playing time,” said the sporting director.
