This Sunday, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia enjoyed their second day at the Paris Olympic Games. On Saturday, they were already in the stands for the first match between Carlos Alcaraz and Rafa Nadal as doubles partners, and this Sunday they watched other sporting events. Among others, they enjoyed the women’s field hockey match between Spain and Great Britain, which ended 1-2 in favour of the national team.
During the broadcast of the match on Teledeporte, the camera focused on the daughters of the kings on different occasions and in one of them the commentary of the journalist Amat Casteller caught the attention. The commentator made a lapse: “There is the president of the Federation, Santi Deó, in the foreground. And behind him are the players who were ruled out for today”.
In fact, it was the princess and the infanta, as was made clear to him by his partner, the former hockey player Cristina Guinea, who was commentating on the match alongside him: “No, no, it’s the… the… the princess…”he said, not stopping a few light laughs from escaping. “Indeed yes, you are right, you are right”the journalist replied, leaving everything in a funny anecdote much discussed on social networks.
The Olympic Games of Leonor and Sofia as spectators (without their parents, because Felipe VI and Letizia are already in Palma) are also being especially commented on due to the new strategy of the Royal House in its communication. Recently, the institution opened an account on Instagram and through it they are showing us each of the steps of the royal members through the French capital. Both the selfie of Leonor and Sofia (taken by the princess) and the one of the king with Letizia (taken by the monarch himself) during the inauguration last Friday have had a great impact on the networks.
