Young people ask for selfies

While the princess Leonor resting after making his first official trip abroad in Lisbon last Friday, the king Don Juan Carlos He set out sailing this Saturday in Sanxenxo aboard the ‘Bribón’. Upon his arrival at the marina, the emeritus was greeted by a wave of young people – something he is not used to during his sailing days on the Galician coast.

The father of King Felipe VI arrived at the marina shortly before midday, where he received a very special welcome: a multitude of young people awaited the arrival of King Juan Carlos I and asked for photographs. For his part, the grandfather of Infanta Sofía and Princess Leonor was very friendly with the young people.

After this mass gathering and after greeting the dozens of people who were in the vicinity of the port, the emeritus climbed onto the sailboat with help and waved happily to the press.

On Friday, King Juan Carlos also went sailing. At the end of the day, the emeritus embraced Infanta Elena, his first-born daughter, with whom he usually spends many days sailing.
