LaLiga asks that the National Court take charge of the ‘Rubiales case’

MADRID, 13 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

LaLiga has requested that the case investigating the alleged irregularities in the management of the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales and the transfer of the Super Cup to Saudi Arabia, which is currently being handled by the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 4 of Majadahonda, goes to the National Court.

According to sources close to the investigation, the body chaired by Javier Tebas has presented a document in which it requests the judge in the case that it be referred to the National Court due to its current magnitude, which covers much more than the alleged commission of 24 million euros collected by the Kosmos company, chaired by Gerard Piqué.

Last Wednesday, Luis Rubiales asked the judge investigating the ‘Super League case’ for the expulsion from LaLiga as a person in the procedure, considering that “in no way” can he be classified as a “victim.”

The former president of the RFEF has already been summoned on May 17 by the National Court to notify him of the opening of an oral trial for the non-consensual kiss of the Spanish soccer player Jenni Hermoso and the alleged coercion that occurred afterwards.
