This Friday, the Court of Instruction number 16 of Seville rejected the provisional release of Antonio Tejado. She did it hours after the lawyer Maria del Monte e Immaculate Casal presented a document opposing the release of the singer’s nephew from prison. This Sunday, Chema Tejado went to the Seville 1 prison to visit her brother and revealed how he is feeling after being denied provisional prison.
“He is tremendously affected, honestly. Tremendously affected because we have encountered a scenario that we did not expect at all, but hey, he is strong, we continue with the same fight, the same fight and with full confidence in his innocence“said a visibly devastated Chema before the Europa Press microphones.
Likewise, María José’s son has assured that no member of the family expected the court’s rejection of provisional release. “We did not expect these things, we did not contemplate this scenario and he much less so, but we continue forward, fighting and strong, like the first day.“, he pointed out.
Regarding how the meeting with Antonio Tejado was, Chema confessed that they have given him a lot of encouragement to face this situation in the best possible way. “You have to convey all the support you have, which is enormous and you will always have it.”“, he assured.
María del Monte’s nephew has been in provisional prison since last February 12 for the robbery committed at the home of his aunt and Inmaculada Casal this summer. After more than a month in prison, Antonio voluntarily testified before the judge on March 15. The Sevillian defended his innocence, denied any involvement in the violent robbery and disassociated himself from the criminal organization with which he is associated.
