The RFEF approves its Electoral Regulations

MADRID, 22 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed this Thursday that it has approved the Electoral Regulations that include the changes introduced by the new Ministerial Order of January 25 and that regulates electoral processes in sports federations.

The RFEF indicated that this step “is essential to be able to call elections” which, as it stated at the beginning of February, it wanted to set for May 24, with March 15 to begin the electoral process and April 26 to elect the new Assembly.

The Delegate Commission has approved this text “by majority”, which will be sent “immediately”, together with the file and the allegations received, to the Higher Sports Council (CSD) “so that its Board of Directors can in turn approve it definitively and thus give way to the immediate calling of elections”.

“Now there is a one-month deadline for this procedure, although the RFEF has requested the CSD to reduce it to 15 days. The objective is to elect the governing bodies of the RFEF for the 2024-2028 cycle as soon as possible. according to the dates set, taking into account the top-level sporting events that are imminent, such as the Euro Cup this summer,” the RFEF warned.
