Josep Santacana, ex-husband of Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, appeals his sentence of 3 years and 3 months in prison

In this sense, he affirms that the evidence against him is insufficient and adds that a mitigating circumstance should have been computed for undue delays given that “the overall duration of the criminal procedure has been practically eight years.”

In this case, the 25th Criminal Court of Barcelona also sentenced Sánchez Vicario to two years in prison, which he will not serve on the condition of not reoffending, and both to pay joint compensation of 6,620,127.60 euros to the Bank of Luxembourg.
