Memphis’s Penny Hardaway changes the starting lineup for their game against Rice.

The point guard for Memphis, Jahvon Quinerly, is not starting for the first game this season. Because the team has been having a hard time lately, Hardaway recently gave the impression that things might be changing.

Tigers coach Penny Hardaway plans to shake things up for their game against Rice on Wednesday in the hopes of getting better results. Their record is 15-5, 4-3 in the AAC. They had won 10 straight games before they lost three here.

Because of this, Quinerly and Nicholas Jourdain are expected to come away the bench, and Nae’Qwan Tomlin and Jonathan Pierre are expected to play for the first time.

David Jones, who scores the most points, Jaykwon Walton, and Malcolm Dandridge will round out the starting lineup.

“This game means so much to me that if it doesn’t change, you may have to change a few guys,” he stated after the loss at UAB on Sunday.

I mean, it’s just for the love of the game and to play hard for your fans, yourself, your coaches, and your teammates, not just to get through the game.

No matter who it is, we need to get a team of guys to understand that we need to defend or rebound. Anyone can help us score.

Quinerly, who transferred from Alabama, averages 4.7 assists each game and scores 13.9 points per game for the Tigers. But he has experienced trouble keeping the ball; in 20 games, he has turned it over 46 times.

Thomas (6-10) transferred from Kansas State to Memphis in the middle of the season in December. During nine games, he has scored 10.3 points and grabbed 5.7 rebounds per game.

In eight of his nine matches with the Tigers, he has either all three or seven boards. He got 15 in an upset over Austin Peay.

He said he was ready for some changes after the loss to Saint Louis last week. That’s exactly what the Memphis basketball instructor is going to do on Sunday.

In the first two games of the season, Kendric Davis, Alex Lomax, and DeAndre Williams all got the start.

For their home opener against VCU at 4 p.m. (ESPN+), the Tigers (1-1) will play on a newly redesigned court and in brand-new black-and-copper uniforms. Hardaway will also start a new group of players.

They will still be in the starting five when they play the Rams (3-1). According to play-by-play announcer Dave Woloshin on the Tigers’ morning radio show, guard Jayden Hardaway along with forward Chandler Lawson will replace Keonté Kennedy and Malcolm Dandridge.

People aren’t the only ones getting in trouble for using their phones on flights. A memo that got out online says that United Airlines is going to punish and even fire flight attendants who use their own devices on the plane.

“Use of a personal electronic gadget and/or accessories is forbidden while customers are on aboard the aircraft, except team rest,” the document says. Live and Let’s Fly reported that anonymous flight attendants passed it around.

United said that flight attendants who are using a “personal electronic device onboard” can’t give “visible and careful service to customers.”

They said, “Customers look to the flight attendants to great service.” “How comfortable would you feel asking someone for help while they were on the phone?” In what way would that make you feel?”…

“Even in public, you ought to stay approachable within uniform and be polite to customers along with other employees,” they said. When The Post called United Airlines, they wouldn’t say anything.

The memo also says that using phones on flights hurts more than just the quality of service. United warns that looking at your phone while driving can cause a lot of safety problems.

Among these are “missing an onboard security incident” and “causing personal injury or injury to one’s jumpseat partner in landing if not properly braced,” according to the document.

United said that scrolling in the sky could even cause an accidental slip deployment if a crew member uses a device while unlocking the doors of an airplane.

When people didn’t follow the rules, the airline said that there could be serious consequences, even termination.
