The Argentine power forward is 19 years old and measures 2.05 meters
MADRID, 31 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
UCAM Murcia CB confirmed this Wednesday the signing for the next four seasons of the Argentine power forward Lee Aaliya, 19 years old and 2.05 meters tall, although he will play on loan until the end of this 2023/24 season at Palmer Basket Mallorca, a club who is active in the LEB Plata.
On its website, the Murcian entity described Aaliya as “one of the promises of Argentine basketball.” He is the son of a Ghanaian father, which allows him to occupy a 'cotonou' position, and he trained in the lower categories of the La Plata Gymnastics and Fencing Club.
“He became one of the most outstanding players in the last U-19 World Cup, averaging more than 17 points per game. To the point that Pablo Prigioni has already made him debut in the senior Argentine team,” UCAM Murcia highlighted in their Press release.
“This season began in the NCAA at the University of Michigan, where he recently terminated his contract to sign for UCAM Murcia for the next four seasons. He will be loaned to Palmer Basket Mallorca until the end of the season,” the note concluded.
