UCAM Murcia announced this Wednesday the renewal of its coach Sito Alonso until 2026, after qualifying for the Copa del Rey for the second time in three years and keeping the team fourth in the Liga Endesa classification this season.
“Sito Alonso, renewed. The coach of UCAM Murcia CB will continue on the bench of the university team until 2026,” says the team's official statement on its website.
Alonso joined the Murcia club in January 2019 and ended the season by achieving permanence. Since then, UCAM Murcia has continued fighting in the noble zone. The Madrid native is the coach with the most appearances in the history of the Murcia club and now signs his commitment to continue making history.
To date, Sito Alonso has directed a total of 181 matches divided into 160 in the Endesa League, 19 in the Basketball Champions League and 2 in the Copa del Rey.
