Rodríguez Uribes highlights the Gigantes MiniCup Tournament as “a friendly space for coexistence”

The president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, closed this Thursday at the Magariños Sports Center in Madrid the presentation of the Gigantes MiniCup Tournament, which will take place from March 24 to 27 in Madrid and Guadalajara, where it will be generated ” a friendly space for coexistence, encounters in diversity, the promotion of grassroots sports” and “the promotion of equality and inclusion,” according to a statement.

The Gigantes MiniCup Tournament is designed for first- and second-year junior category players, so it has the objective of “setting the standard in the world of beginner basketball.” Between March 24 and 27 in Madrid and Guadalajara, participants “will be able to demonstrate their skills on the court, facing high-level rivals and sharing their passion for basketball.”

For Rodríguez Uribes, the competition is “a clear example” that represents the way in which the Government understands sport. “As a friendly space for coexistence, for encounters in diversity, for the promotion of grassroots sport, for the promotion of equality, inclusion and the transmission of values ​​such as respect for opponents and teammates, non-discrimination, civic friendship and teamwork” he said.
