Bertín Osborne, with Covid, has not called Paco Arévalo's son to offer his condolences: “Isn't his finger working?”

Bertin Osborne starred in this Wednesday's social chronicle by appearing in an exclusive talking about his new fatherhood with Gabriela Guillén. “I have decided that I am not going to be a father, I do not want to be a father. If it is confirmed that he is mine, I will help,” he said, sparking a wave of criticism on social networks, where he was branded as sexist. Hours later, in the evening, we learned the news of the death of someone who was his great friend, Paco Arevalo.

The comedian's lifeless body was found at his home in Valencia by his son. Francisco Rodríguez broke down this Thursday at the doors of the funeral home: “He has always lived to make others smile, lately he has had to live with pressure and criticism. But he has gone calmly and is now resting”he said, with tears in his eyes.

Regarding Bertín's absence, he said: “I haven't spoken to Bertín in more than twelve or thirteen years. I do not know anything about him. The one who was talking to him was my father. Lately they didn't have such a fluid relationship but they called each other from time to time.. I guess he will call me and come,” she lamented to the media.

Bertín Osborne has Covid

Bertín himself has given the reason why he has not traveled to Valencia: “He has Covid, he has the virus. He has sent three workers to tell us,” a reporter from Public mirror at the doors of the singer's house in Alcalá de Guadaira, Seville. Regarding the reason why he has not called the comedian's son, Gema Lopez has been asked: “Is your finger not working?”. Bertín, due to Covid, has also paralyzed the recordings of his program on Canal Sur. His reappearance is scheduled for the 8th, at his concert in Alicante.

The distancing of Bertín and Arévalo

Arévalo and Osborne, who shared so many shows, had been estranged since 2017 due to a publication by the comedian on their social networks. Arévalo gathered a group of friends, including the ranchera singer and his eldest daughters, at his house in Valencia to enjoy a good paella. They had two star guests, the emeritus Juan Carlos and the iInfant Elena: “Take that fucking photo away,” was the last thing Bertín said to him.

“I had the misfortune of posting a photo on Twitter, but I did it normally, bragging about being Spanish,” the comedian explained in Deluxe Saturday. “It didn't sit well with the Royal Family and I'm very sorry because maybe I should have asked for permission, but I did it innocently,” he justified.

Until the Valencian funeral home, for the moment, they have moved Rappel or the bullfighter Vicente Ruiz Soro, who was very emotional when remembering his friend. Arévalo has died at the age of 76.
