Is the sky falling after Dolphins’ collapse to the Titans or did the law of averages even out? | Opinion

Is the atmosphere falling now that the Dolphins lost to the Titans, and did the rule of averages make things fair? | Thoughts

After the heartbreaking blown-lead home loss for the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football, the team’s determination to get back on track right away will be put to the test.

This loss will test beyond simply the team, though. It will show how much Dolphins fans believe. The 4-8 Ttans should not have won this game against Miami.

After the Titans turned the ball over twice, the Fins scored a pair quick touchdowns to take a 27–13 lead late in the game.

Did something change? Is the sky going to fall? Or has the NFL season given people enough faith to deal with the shocking truth that a 14-point lead in less than three minutes left changed into a crushing loss?

It was “a hard, hard lesson,” as coach Mike McDaniel put it. “It feels awful right now.” But these kinds of deaths can bring people together. Guys will do what needs to be done because we have to.”

The Titans’ last trip to Hard Rock Stadium for a match against the Dolphins was in Week 1 during the 2018 season.

The game went almost all the way into Week 2. Because of two long storm delays, it took 7 hours or 8 minutes to finish.

The Fins were 9-3 and had a perfect 8-0 record against teams with lost records. They were a two-touchdown favorite to keep their winning streak going against Tennessee on Monday.

But they needed to trip for a long time. Do you agree? The Miami Dolphins’ attack had been bad the whole game. In their five home wins, their offense averaged 38.8 points per game.

Not to worry, it looks like. For a while at least. This game wasn’t won by the Dolphins’ usually powerful offense because the defense as well as special teams stepped up. For a while, it looked like the team would win.

The 13-13 tie turned into a party pinata within the fourth quarter, which went in favor of Miami.

Then, with 4:34 left, Mostert scored another short touchdown after Bradley Chubb of Miami picked up a different Titans fumble that the Titans 12.

A little-known Dolphin called Elijah Campbell picked off a Titans punt return that went offside at the Tennessee 7-yard line. This set up Raheem Mostert’s 3-yard touchdown run with 5:34 left in the game.

At that point, it didn’t really matter if the team with the worse record lost on Monday as well the team with the better record won. The score was 27–13. Any of them would do for the Dolphins.

Just four minutes as well as 34 seconds after Raheem Mostert scored his second of two straight rushing scores, the Dolphins fell apart even more badly than the Titans had just moments before, and they lost one of their worst games in years.

ESPN Stats and Info says that the Dolphins were the initial team in 767 NFL games to lose after being ahead by 14 points with less than three minutes to go.

There were a few plays where they did well and a few where we weren’t as good,” Dolphins safety Jalen Ramsey said. “Man, football. It will happen sometimes.

Our goal is to keep it as low as possible. The first part of the game went well for us, but we need to step it up in the last three minutes to win.

Bradley Chubb, a linebacker, agreed. But there may have been some planning on the part of a team the fact would have finished on top of the AFC with a win.

Chubb believes that the Dolphins may have thought they had already won when they were 27-13 up.
