The Memphis Grizzlies of Spanish power forward Santi Aldama fell this morning with the leaders of the NBA Western Conference, Minnesota Timberwolves (103-127), who relied on the duo formed by Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert to sign their sixth consecutive victory.
After an even first half at the FedExForum in Memphis, those from Minneapolis stood out in the third quarter to finish the match. Towns' 24 points and Gobert's 16 points and 20 rebounds allowed the team to improve its season record to 17-4.
For his part, center Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Tennessee attack with 21 points, with point guard Desmond Bane contributing 16 and forward David Roddy scoring 13.
Meanwhile, Aldama did not have his best night, but he was still on the verge of a 'double-double'. The Canarian player achieved 9 points -2 of 8 field goals, including 1 of 3 triples, and 4 of 6 free throws-, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 block in the 23 minutes he was on the court.
