Concha Velasco will be buried this Saturday in one of her sacred temples: the Madrid theater of The Latina. And this Sunday, the remains of the actress will be transferred to Valladolid, where she will be buried next to Delibes and Zorrilla after a mass that will be celebrated in the Cathedral of the capital of Pucelana, the artist's homeland.
After turning 84 a few days ago and surrounding herself with all her loved ones, Concha Velasco died this Saturday, December 2, at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Majadahonda, Madrid, as we reported after receiving the statement from her two sons, Manuel and Paco.
In said statement, Her children report that “our mother, Concha Velasco, died today, Saturday the 2nd at 02:00 at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Majadahonda, having received the Holy Sacraments, as a result of a complication in her illness.”
Thanking the staff of the hospital and the residence where the actress spent her last days, the children claim to be “lucky to have enjoyed the best mother in the world and to receive the affection of so many Spaniards who love and admire her.”
It was last March 2022 when her son Manuel announced to the media that his mother was admitted to a residence so that she would be cared for 24 hours a day and would not lack any care… since then, the interpreter has not left to receive visits from loved ones.
