MADRID, 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish midfielder Aitana Bonmatí won the Ballon d’Or trophy last Monday in overwhelming fashion and after adding a total of 266 points, a sign of the unanimity that existed when granting her the award, while Salma Paralluelo tied with Fridolina Rölfo to be third.

As reported this Saturday by the newspaper ‘L’Equipe’, which announced the votes, the FC Barcelona footballer was chosen in first place by 42 of the 47 journalists who voted, among them the Spanish David Menayo, from ‘Marca’, who completed his ‘Top 3’ with the Swedish Fridolina Rolfö (FC Barcelona) and the also Spanish Olga Carmona (Real Madrid).

In fact, the 25-year-old footballer from Sant Pere de Ribes was among the five chosen out of 46 voters, except in Chile, which did not choose any player from either FC Barcelona or the Spanish team and which put in first place to forward Sam Kerr (Chelsea), second in the final vote with 87 points, the same as Australia and the Netherlands.

The representative of Russia by Olga Carmona and that of Jamaica by Salma Paralluelo, who finished third with 49 points and tied with Rolfö, but who was favored in the tiebreaker due to her better positions in the rest of the votes where they were distributed 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points. The Madrid full-back added 32, Patri Guijarro, 25, Mapi León, 11, and Alba Redondo, 7, while only Debinha, Jill Roord and Daphne van Domselaar did not receive any points.
