Daniel Sancho case: surprise in the police report on the autopsy of Edwin Arrieta

Busy day in Thailand. Daniel Sancho He has been transferred to the Koh Samui Court to hear the Prosecutor’s charges against him but the process has been postponed until November 13 due to the absence of a Thai-Spanish translator. However, the police report has been revealed in its entirety for the first time since on August 7, the son of Rodolfo Sancho confess to the crime of Edwin Arrieta and some points have generated a lot of surprise.

Mainly, the autopsy of the victim, which was dismembered into 14 parts. The trunk, one of the most important for forensic analysis, was never found, so the result of the report is inconclusive: “The cause of death cannot be determined. It should be examined by other specialists.” It must be remembered that Big Joke himself, one of the highest authorities in the Thai police and responsible for the case, stated in a press conference that Daniel Sancho had slit the throat of the Colombian surgeon, who would have bled to death.

The autopsy does show that Arrieta’s body “was severely beaten many times and these blows affected the victim’s vital organs.”

As we announced this Wednesday, the Prosecutor’s Office accuses Daniel Sancho of premeditated murder, concealment of a corpse and extraction of official documentation, charges to which Sancho Gracia’s grandson will plead ‘innocent’: “He will admit to the reckless homicide and the concealment of corpse”, they have said in TardeAR. The defense is based on proving that there was no premeditation (which is punishable in Thailand with the death penalty) and they will have the testimony of a coroner, a psychiatrist and two witnesses to support their version.

Daniel continues to await trial in Koh Samui prison as the Prosecutor’s Office opposes bail, ensuring that there is “a danger that the accused will escape and try to pressure witnesses.”
