MADRID, 7 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Deportivo Alavés has asked the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to “act ex officio” to sanction the Burgos player José Matos, who on Sunday seriously injured the Spanish-Argentine Giuliano Simeone, forward of the babazorro team, in a friendly match played by both teams.
“Deportivo Alavés will request the ex officio action of the Federal Instances in view of the events that occurred yesterday in the friendly between Burgos CF and Deportivo Alavés, which caused the serious injury of Giuliano Simeone after a tackle from a Burgos player CF”, the club from Vitoria announced on Monday.
During the final moments of the game, the defender of the Burgos team, José Matos, made a tough tackle on the young footballer, son of Diego Pablo Simeone. The clash was immediately called off and the player was taken by ambulance to hospital.
This same Monday, the medical tests confirmed that Giuliano Simeone suffers a fractured fibula and a dislocated ankle, which will prevent him from starting the 2023-2024 LaLiga EA Sports season, which starts this Friday.
