MADRID, 6 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) accepted an unfortunate and complicated Sunday from the start at the British Grand Prix, and confessed that, despite everything, “the weekend has not been so bad”, after a crash in the race at Silverstone.
“Our race has been complicated from the beginning, since I lost my right wing due to a small contact on the first lap. Then I fell in an unfortunate action with Bastianini, but it was a crash that does not diminish confidence”, he said in statements provided by his team.
The man from Cervera, who started the second half of the season with the intention of achieving a base on which to regain lost confidence, crashed this Sunday with six laps to go when he was running eleventh. “Without the wing he was losing a lot of acceleration, but when it started to rain I was able to catch up with the guys in front again,” he commented.
“Apart from this, the weekend hasn’t been so bad if we take into account our approach and what we could do in the race before the crash. We kept working, gaining confidence and following our plan,” he finished.
