Carolina Robles and Laura Redondo join Spain’s squad for the Budapest World Cup

María Vicente will compete in length as well as triple after World Athletics invitations

The Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) celebrated this Saturday the confirmation by World Athletics, International Federation, of the invitations for Carolina Robles (3,000 obstacles) and Laura Redondo (hammer) to compete in the imminent World Cup in Budapest.

Through a statement on their social networks, the RFEA reported the “good news”, with the addition of the confirmation also of María Vicente for the longitude contest, in addition to the triple jump for which she was already summoned from the prelist from Thursday.

Then, the national coach, José Peiró, advanced since the invitations from World Athletics could increase the Spanish presence in the World Cup that will be held in the Hungarian capital from August 19 to 27. Two days later, Robles and Redondo join the Spanish team, which thus has 58 representatives.

With 31 women, it is the most female delegation in the history of the Spanish team, by 27 men, according to the RFEA.
