Sergio Rico, operated on for an aneurysm with a good prognosis

MADRID, 2 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish goalkeeper of Paris Saint-Germain Sergio Rico underwent surgery this Wednesday for a brain aneurysm at the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville, as part of the recovery process from the serious accident he suffered on horseback in El Rocío.

Rico has been admitted since May 28 and spent five weeks in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Through social networks, the goalkeeper himself sent a message last month in which he pointed to a recovery on the right track.

The Europa Press team was able to speak with Alba Silva, the soccer player’s wife, this Wednesday after the last intervention, who shared some details about the operation and the state of her husband. “Everything is very good and we have to keep waiting to see everything that has been done to him,” she said.

In addition, Silva pointed out that the intervention can be decisive in the discharge and treatment at home of a Rico who continues to take steps with a good prognosis despite the seriousness of his accident, when he was admitted seriously, due to a runaway horse in El Rocío.
