Domingo Catoira returns to Valladolid as the new sports director

MADRID, 2 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Domingo Catoira will be sports director of Real Valladolid for the next two seasons after signing a contract until 2025 with the Pucelano club, to which he returns after having previously been technical secretary for three years.

“Domingo Catoira is the new sports director of Real Valladolid until June 30, 2025,” the club announced in a statement.

After spending time at RCD Espanyol, Catoira returns to Pucela, where he was technical secretary, under Braulio Vázquez, between 2014 and 2017. “He returns with the immediate challenge of putting together a guaranteed squad to face the 2023-24 season in the silver category of national football,” said the entity.

Born in the French town of Evian les Bains in 1972, his Galician origins led him to train as a player in the lower categories of Deportivo de la Coruña and make his debut at Fabril, where he met Braulio, who trusted him to accompany him in the management sport of Valencia CF in 2010.

Domingo Catoira’s professional path continued again in Valencia and later, from 2020, at RCD Espanyol, first as technical secretary and, during the 2022-23 season, as sports director of the ‘parrots’.
