MADRID, 30 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Polish tennis player and world number one Iga Swiatek won her fourth title of the season this Sunday by beating (6-0, 6-1) the German Laura Siegemund in the final of the WTA tournament in Warsaw, her first win in home, while the Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto lifted the Lausanne tournament.

Swiatek took the event at home very seriously, without dropping a set all week, and overwhelmed his last opponent conceding only one game. The Pole added a fourth title to her season after Doha, Stuttgart and Roland Garros, the 15th of her career.

Meanwhile, Cocciaretto defeated the French Clara Burel in a great comeback in the third set (7-5, 4-6, 6-4), a duel of tennis players destined to succeed on the WTA circuit, at 22 years of age. The Italian premiered her record after almost three hours, making it 2-0 in duels against a Burel who lost the Swiss final as in 2021.
