How Many Sports Bets Has Drake Made This Year?

It seems that everybody is enjoying the legalization of sports betting in a majority of US states, including celebrities.

In the past few years, we’ve seen several celebrities promoting different sports betting operators. Jamie Fox for BetMGM, Aaron Paul for Bet365, Ben Affleck and Shaquille O’Neal for WynnBet.

And there are those who enjoy making bets, such as Charles Barkley who bet 100K on the Eagles in Superbowl LVII.

Celebrities betting on sports is not an entirely new phenomenon.

Drake is one such celebrity who has fully embraced sports betting. Drake, he has plenty of money to throw around on bets, often wagering far more than the average person.

Most of his wagers are made on Stake.com, with whom he signed a $100 million-per-year endorsement deal in 2022. Stake is an Australian Australian-Curaçaoan sportsbook/casino which is unregulated in the U.S. So, for all people that are located in the US making wagers on Stake.com would be considered illegal since only regulated sports betting sites are allowed to accept bets.

Like most people, Drake still papers to be getting the hang of betting and doesn’t always come out on the winning end of things. For instance, Drake bet over $400,000 on Jake Paul to beat Tommy Fury in a UFC fight earlier this year. But he lost that money after the fight ended in a split decision.

Drake also lost around $300,000 when backing Jorge Masvidal in a different UFC fight. But don’t think that UFC isn’t in Drake’s wheelhouse because he also won $3.7 million during UFC London after placing bets on both Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett. After both won their respective fights and Drake was able to cash his tickets, he gifted both fighters a Rolex watch to show his appreciation.

If there is a major sporting event, the odds are good that Drake is going to be putting money on it. He’s actually developing a rather good track record with football. For example, he won over $250,000 after betting that Drake London would be the first wide receiver selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. That was after Drake earned himself nearly $600,000 when he accurately predicted the Rams would beat the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.

Drake was also correct in his pick for last season’s Super Bowl. His bet on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs to beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl earned him $1.5 million. Oddly enough, that was the only one of seven bets Drake made on the Super Bowl that won, as none of his prop bets paid off in the end. But with Kansas City’s win, Drake’s overall profit on the Super Bowl was over $500,000.

Following Drake’s bets on the Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl, it was estimated that he had spent over $1 billion in sports bets in the past year. Needless to say, that number has only increased over the last several months. Obviously, if he had lost all of those bets, Drake would be broke. But he’s won enough of his high-money wagers to remain one of the wealthiest rappers in the world.

Well-known for being a basketball enthusiast, Drake crushed it during the 2023 NBA Finals between the Nuggets and Heat. He placed a $1 million bet on the Nuggets to win the series and earned $1.23 million back when they did. However, Drake also bet $250,000 on the Nuggets winning the series in five games, which is exactly what happened, earning him $850,000. Therefore, his total profit on the NBA Finals from those two bets was $830,000.

For anyone interested in keeping up with Drake’s sports bets, he often posts his wager tickets on Instagram.
