Spain thrashes Argentina and advances undefeated to the round of 16 of the U-19 Women’s World Cup

The Spanish women’s basketball team won this Tuesday by a resounding 35-74 against Argentina, with an outstanding performance by the Asturian guard Inés Noguero, during the third and final day of Group A in the Under-19 World Championship, which is being played in the Community of Madrid.

On the field of the Jorge Garbajosa Pavilion, in Torrejón de Ardoz, the players trained by Bernat Canut thrashed their opponents and also closed the group stage undefeated. Noguero stood out in the Spanish ranks with his 12 points and 16 valuation credits.

The Catalan point guard Deva Bermejo and the Andalusian forward Elena Moreno, scoring 10 and nine points respectively, collaborated with Noguero so that Spain always had the lead on the scoreboard. On the part of Argentina, point guard Nicole Tapari stood out with eight points.

Thanks to this very comfortable victory, third in their three games played, Spain qualified as first in Group A for the round of 16. In this round, they will face the Chinese Taipei team this Wednesday (8:45 p.m.), which was fourth in Group B.
