The LaLiga OTT changes its name to LALIGA+

MADRID, 7 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

LaLiga’s multi-device streaming platform will be renamed ‘LALIGA+’ and will incorporate the appearance of the club management’s new brand after the 5-year agreement with EA Sports, and a better user experience, more customization options, and new packages and content for your subscribers.

LaLiga has begun a ‘change of era’ this season thanks to its strategic partner for the next five seasons, Electronic Arts Inc, with audiovisual innovations such as the name of its OTT, which will become LALIGA+. In addition, the platform will incorporate improvements in its usability, design and content.

Regarding the content, LALIGA+ maintains and renews the agreement with two important competitions such as the LEB Oro for basketball and the Liga Plenitude ASOBAL for handball, broadcasting all the matches of the two competitions in full.

The platform also has different soccer competitions such as the Brazilian first division, the Concacaf Gold Cup and the AFC Champions League, as well as other content yet to be revealed. In addition, LALIGA+ will broadcast the Volleyball European Championship and Champions League, the Beach Volleyball European Championship and Nations Cup, the Nations League, the Olympic Qualifying Tournaments and the World Championships.

The OTT will also include special content for clubs, so that all the LaLiga EA Sports and LaLiga Hypermotion teams will have their own space on the platform with summaries, reports, interviews and more exclusive content, as well as live training or grassroots football. UD Las Palmas, CD Tenerife and SD Huesca will now have their own personalized space.

The person in charge of LALIGA+ Julio Fariñas has classified this measure as an adaptation to the “new era”, which incorporates “improvements in the user experience” through personalization and improvement of content. “We will continue opting for the flexibility of the contents and the increase in sports and exclusivity for our users. During this season there will be more exclusive competitions that cannot yet be revealed but that we are sure will surprise and conquer our audiences around the world” he added.

In the 22-23 season, LALIGA+ increased its followers on social networks by 7 million to reach 8.5 million, partly thanks to the personalization and flexibility of the offer, differentiated by packages.

The LALIGA OTT will maintain this commitment to user comfort with various options such as the Plus Total package, which includes LEB Oro, Plenitude Asobal league, Brasileirao, Concacaf Gold Cup, AFC Champions League, Volleyball and Rhythmic Gymnastics, the Plus package League, in which you can choose to contract the Plenitude ASOBAL or LEB Oro league, the Plus Team package, in which you can choose a specific ASOBAL or LEB Oro club to follow their matches.

In addition, it will also have the International Football package, which will contain the Brazilian first division, Brasileirao; Concacaf Gold Cup and AFC Champions League, as well as other content yet to be revealed and the Petanque package: LALIGA+ will broadcast the entire petanque season exclusively, including national and international competitions.
