Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool’s second signing for next season

MADRID, 3 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Liverpool FC completed this Sunday the signing of Hungarian footballer Dominik Szoboszlai, from RB Leipzig and with a contract still “subject to a work permit”, according to the English club itself from its website.

“The Hungarian midfielder becomes the Reds’ second addition to the summer window after agreeing terms and successfully completing a medical, following in the footsteps of Alexis Mac Allister,” the press release added.

Szoboszlai arrives at the Anfield entity after two and a half years in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, where he played 91 games in all competitions. According to a large part of the English press, the ‘reds’ completed this signing by disbursing 60 million pounds (almost 70 million euros).

“The last three or four days have been very long, it hasn’t been easy. But in the end I’m here, I’m happy and I can’t wait to start,” Szoboszlai told Liverpool’s official media. “It’s a really historic club, with very good players, a good coach…everything’s fine. It’s been perfect for me to take the next step at a club like this,” added the Hungarian midfielder.

In addition, he described the German Jürgen Klopp as “one of the best coaches in the world”. “How he acts next to the pitch, like he’s playing with his boys, I really like it. I’ve also been very impressed with how he’s done in recent years, what he’s achieved with this club. I’m really looking forward to working with him.” concluded Szoboszlai.
