For the giant Inditex there is no challenge that remains in the pipeline. With the aim of implementing new security technologies, and just after announcing the arrival date of the second-hand clothing sales platform in Spain, the company has reported another radical change: Zara is going to eliminate hard alarms from its garments.
The Inditex group assures that the new security mechanism will be installed in Zara stores in July, thus coinciding with the final stretch of the summer sales period.
Its goal is to start with this new process in mid-July in all stores in Spain, with the arrival of the autumn-winter season in stores.
In the presentation of the results of the Inditex Group corresponding to the first quarter of its fiscal year 2023-2024, the CEO of the company, Óscar García Maceirashas indicated that the group has already begun this process, which has little to do with what we know to date.
It is still unknown what this new Inditex anti-theft system will be like, but what they do assure is that this new alternative will make shopping easier for the customer.
End of alarms in the middle of the sales season
Zara’s new security technology coincides with sales season, which starts this Thursday in physical storesbut what It has already started both in the app and on the web this Wednesday. As happened last summer, the rest of the Inditex brands will use the same dates.
