Barça prevailed (3-2) – against Jaén Paraíso Interior this Saturday in the first game of the final playoff for the Spanish Futsal First Division title, with an outstanding performance by Pito at the Palau Blaugrana.
The culé team began by commanding an ‘Olivo Mecánico’ who sold his skin dearly in his first game in a League final. Despite Barça’s dominance, the final went to half-time with a draw after goals from Ferrao and Wanderson.
In the second half, Pito went into stellar mode and, with two carat plays, decided the first point in favor of the defending champion. The Brazilian made it 2-1 and assisted for Matheus’ 3-1, another work of backheel art, in a brilliant comeback for Barça.
Jesús Velasco’s men had the sentence in the boots of Pito himself, but the referees annulled the 4-1 due to a previous foul, and a goal by Chino at the last minute added emotion to the outcome without avoiding Jaén’s defeat.
On Monday, again at the Palau, the second round of the final to the best of five games, with a Barça that cannot trust the Spanish Cup champion despite being a rookie in these games.
