Mediaset will recover GH VIP four years after its last edition. The chain is preparing the return of this emblematic format for next season and it does so with an important novelty: Jorge Javier Vázquez will not be the presenter. The chain has chosen Marta Flich (Everything is a lie) to take charge of the new edition of the longest-running reality show on television.
The Mediaset decision has been taken after knowing the sentences José María López to 15 months in prison for sexual abuse of Carlota Prado at[person]’s house Big Brother during the anonymous edition that was issued in 2017. Precisely this Thursday it has been known that the former contestant will not appeal that sentence, although Carlota Prado did announce her intention to undertake a new battlein this case against the workers of the production company and also against Mediaset.

A few weeks ago, as we explained, Mediaset carried out a maneuver clearly focused on recovering Big Brother. At the end of May, when the ‘Carlota Prado case’ was closed, the chain reported the preparation of a new Code of Ethics for reality shows, which was the way to prepare the ground to rescue the format. This decalogue is added to another that the Zeppelin production company launched when the scandal broke. This company, by the way, was also sentenced to pay Carlota Prado a thousand euros for the way in which she informed the contestant – without psychological help – of what had happened the night before with her boyfriend José María. It must also be remembered that it was Zeppelin who reported the events to the Civil Guard.
Marta Flich will present ‘GH VIP’ on Telecinco
The return of GH VIP It is Mediaset’s great bet for autumn. The chain says that the format will return with “twists in its dynamics and novelties in its mechanics.” But the most striking thing is the choice of its presenter, Marta Flich, whose name has been made public at a Mediaset event with advertisers, that is, those brands that must support a format that once ran out of advertising investment.

She replaces Jorge Javier Vázquez, who will not be in charge of the program despite the fact that he was the host of the last editions.
