Cristina Bucsa falls in her debut in Nottingham and Feliciano López says goodbye to Stuttgart

MADRID, 12 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Cristina Bucsa has lost in her debut at the tournament in Nottingham (United Kingdom), in the WTA 250 category and played on grass, against the Croatian Donna Vekic (6-2, 4-6, 6-1), while Feliciano López also said goodbye at the first exchange of Stuttgart (Germany) against the Japanese Yosuke Watanuki (7-6 (5), 6-3).

Bucsa, current number 76 in the WTA ranking, gave up her first serve of the match and lost the first set after the Balkan, the twentieth racket in the world, broke the Chisinau’s serve again in the seventh game.

Even so, the Spanish equalized the contest after recovering from a 4-2 down in the second set and winning the last four games, but in the final set she was unable to break her opponent’s serve, who signed three ‘breaks’ and closed the clash in almost two hours of play.

For his part, Feliciano López also said goodbye to his participation in Stuttgart, in the ATP 250 category and played on grass, in two sets. The ‘tie-break’ of the first set, in which there were no breaks, was decided in favor of the Japanese tennis player, who in the second set only needed a break to win.
