The president of FC Barcelona, ​​Joan Laporta, assured the players of the first soccer team, at the dinner to celebrate the LaLiga Santander title, that next year they will aspire “to more” after winning a “historic” league for the entity after three years of drought.

“If the priority objective of this season was LaLiga, this historic League that you have achieved, man, next year we will aspire to more. We will aspire to more,” he stressed in his speech during dinner, at a venue in Gavà (Barcelona).

“Winning titles is very important for the club and you have achieved it with your talent, with your effort, with your commitment. It has been a very hard-earned season and as president I want to thank you for achieving this historic league”, added the president .

Laporta thus congratulated the “true architects” of the success achieved. “Headed by the coach, Xavi, who has achieved a historic League and will always be remembered, because Barcelona were in need of titles”, he stressed.

And he was grateful to the team for helping him fulfill an electoral promise. “It’s not how you’ve won, it’s not how you’ve made an effort, it’s that with all this talent you’ve made millions and millions of Barcelona fans around the world happy. And as president I want to thank you very sincerely because he was one of the goals we had,” he recalled.
